2 Months Later

So. . . . To continue on from where i left off.

I didn't get the job with the company which sucks. However going through the motions and doing all of that research made me realise that working in an agency is what i want to do. I like the idea that you work on multiple accounts at any given time and you don't get stuck with the same company and campaigns month on end.

Anyway i got a phone call today while i was in the gym offering me an internship that i had applied for a week ago. The girl on the phone told me that the guy who had interviewed me had given me a great reference and that i start in a week. I'm so excited while at the same time a little nervous that so much will change with this job. Hopefully i like it as much as i think it will.

The internship is for 3 months which is perfect because not only will i get great experience. But i will also be free in time to go to america and get my year long visa. With this work experience i should be able to get work over in the states a lot easier and not have to worry about being a "worthless" graduate. I know it is only 3 months but it's a start and the fact that i will be in the number 1 digital marketing agency in Ireland makes it even better.

I also had the idea of starting a blog about the life of an intern/ graduate in Ireland. It might be fun and if i can help other graduates it would be great too... Peace out Blogger

First Post..... Hmmmmm

So this is my first ever post. I will probably give up on this by post number 2 :/ But here goes....

At the moment i am on Social Welfare and I HATE IT. I have been applying for a jobs and i recently made it to the final 3 candidates after doing 2 rounds of interviews up in Dublin with a Digital Marketing Agency.

I am waiting to hear back from the company.... So I'm not sure how likely a job is at all. I did just got an email saying i would hear more this friday or next monday but I will be out of the country on monday-thursday so i hope this won't effect my chances of getting this dream job. I am contemplating canceling the trip but then again i'm not sure if i am needed in Ireland as i was only told i would be contacted this week or early next week so I think staying at home and waiting by the phone may just cut off my nose to spite my face.

This is my big life dilemma at the moment. Either i will remain a bum or I'll be working up in Dublin in a dream job, earning money and climbing the ladder to the top of my field of expertise :P.
